A seductive glow, now in size 4.3 — Aka-Samurai Meteor Glow Orange & Green, out in September
EgiSharp Alpha size 4.3 gains the new Aka-Samurai Meteor Glow colours, Orange and Green. A glow that does not blaze but stands the outline up in the half light — now on the big size 4.3. Three versions — V0 / V0+ / V1 — from September 2026. The video: an Okinawa reef under a full moon, in less than two metres of water, where a pre-release Meteor Glow Orange prototype on a size 4.3 V0 answered by the second or third cast and all three veterans hooked up — six minutes and forty-three seconds.

Why this video
EgiSharp Alpha gains the new colours Aka-Samurai Meteor Glow Orange and Green in September 2026 — the two colours joining EgiSharp (sizes 3.5 and 3.8) that month arrive on the size-4.3 EgiSharp Alpha at the same time. This video is episode 112 of the Akazamurai Channel: the veteran trio on a full-moon night session. On an Okinawa reef in less than two metres of water, a pre-release Meteor Glow Orange prototype on a size 4.3 V0 was counted down eight to ten and worked sideways — never touching bottom — and the second or third cast brought Akazamurai the first squid. Hide followed on the discontinued Mix Glow, Toguken on Galaxy Glow Olive, and all three of the trio hooked up.

Beyond the Video
On EgiSharp Alpha, the Aka-Samurai Meteor Glow family has so far been two colours, Purple and Red. In September 2026 Orange and Green join, making four. The same September also brings Yozakura, UV Reef Green, and the Aka-Samurai colour 15th-anniversary trio — Aka-Samurai 15th Red Glow, Purple Glow and Super Glow — to EgiSharp Alpha size 4.3. All come in the three versions V0 / V0+ / V1, with photos on the product page. The egi Akazamurai calls simply “Meteor Glow” in the video is this pre-release Orange prototype.
Staying off the bottom is not a preference here — the terrain demands it. On a reef where coral heads rise to within a metre of the surface, touching down means an instant risk of snagging. V0 (22g), the slowest-falling version of size 4.3, keeps the egi in the surface and mid layers: count it down eight to ten, then work it sideways.
According to the video description, the tackle was a Stoist RT Inter Line 79MMH rod, a Certate LT2500S reel, Sunline PE EGI-ULT HS8 0.6, an FC Hard 2.25 leader and an EG Snap M. The egi were EgiSharp in sizes 3.8 and 4.3 (the 4.3 being EgiSharp Alpha).
The Lure's Role
EgiSharp Alpha
EgiSharp Alpha is a next-generation egi that keeps a big size-4.3 body under 25g. In the same size 4.3, you choose from three fall speeds: V0 = 22g (slowest), V0+ = 23g, V1 = 24g. Colour and fall speed are chosen independently — that is the design.
In less than two metres of water, not sinking is itself the technique. Take the slowest V0, stop it at a count of eight to ten, and work it sideways — keep showing the egi without ever touching bottom. On this night Akazamurai took the first squid on the pre-release Meteor Glow Orange prototype, second or third cast; Hide followed on the discontinued Mix Glow, Toguken on Galaxy Glow Olive. Only this light build lets a big size 4.3 travel that slowly just under the surface.
